Arvil Earl Marshall, 89, of Flemingsburg, went to be with the lord on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Lexington VA Medical Center.
Arvil was born on August 31, 1929 in Muses Mill to the late Thomas and Catherine Buckley Marshall.
For 30 years Arvil and his wife Reona owned and operated Marshall’s Pool Room in downtown Flemingsburg. He proudly served his county in the US Army during the Korean War, and was a member of Fox Valley Community Church.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Reona Muse Marshall; children Darrell Marshall and wife Patsy, Sherry Kirkland and husband Trent, and Cyndi Marshall Gooding; grandchildren Brandon Marshall, Jeremy Marshall, Melinda Carpenter, Kristin Kirkland, Courtney Peltier, Tyler Gooding and Shawn Taylor Gooding; great grandchildren Liam, Victoria, Damion, Jessica, Haley Devin, Caleb and Julia; also surviving are a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Felbert, Walter and Zoey Marshall.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2019 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Hamm officiating.
Arvil will be laid to rest in Muses Mill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service on Monday
