W. Buelene Carver, 77, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at her residence with family by her side.
Born on May 22, 1941, in Fleming County, she was a daughter of the late Joe Freeman Ishmael and Esslean Crump Ishmael.
Buelene graduated from Midway College with an associate in business. She was a secretary and receptionist for Randall’s until she retired after 45 years of service. She was a member of the Flemingsburg Christian Church.
Buelene is survived by her husband of 53 years, Vanis Douglas Carver, Sr.; her children, Vanis D. Carver, Jr., Vanessa Fawns and husband Curt; her grandchildren, Curtis Blake Fawns and Brett Chandler Fawns; her foster family, Delores Dugan, George Doyle and Marion Doyle. She is also survived by her dogs, Rocket and Sammie; and her grandpuppy, Zoe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her foster parents, Henry Dewey and Mattie Ovel Doyle; and her foster family, Jewell Earlywine, Beulah Armstrong, Russell Doyle, Raymond Doyle, Melvin Doyle, Adrian Doyle, Barbour Doyle.
Services for Buelene were private.
She was laid to rest in the Fleming County Cemetery.
