Carol Boyd Foxworthy, 77, of Flemingsburg, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at her residence.
Born in Fleming County on October 14, 1941, she was daughter of the late Daniel Russell “D.R.” Carpenter and the late Vitula Boyd Carpenter.
Carol had worked for Litton Ford, Community Trust Bank, U. S. Bank, and Citizens Bank. She had been a part of the Golden Chord Singers, the Fleming County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, and the Fleming County Backpack Program. She had been a member of the Fleming County Public Library Board as well as the Fleming County Hospital Board. Carol was a member of the Mt. Carmel Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, George Elmer Foxworthy; her daughter, Donna Workman and husband, David of Louisville; her daughter, Dana Cochran and husband, Phillip of Chattanooga, TN; her grandchildren, Austin (Lindsey) Workman, Ryan Workman, Brianna (Hunter) Burden, Ethan Cochran, and Elliott Cochran. She is also survived by her siblings, Danny Carpenter and wife, Kathy, and Betty Anderson and husband, Butch, both of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her siblings, Jimmy Carpenter, Bill Carpenter, and Sue Barnard.
Service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 8, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Russell Johnson with The Solomon Foundation officiating.
Carol will be laid to rest in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
