Daniel W. Roark, 66, of Flemingsburg, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019, at his home with family by his side.
Born on August 6, 1952, in Maysville, he was the son of the late Fred Roark, Sr., and the late Juanita Prince Roark.
Daniel was retired, having worked in over the road trucking. He worked for Ryder for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing and enjoyed sports – especially the Reds, the Bengals, and the Wildcats. He attended Flemingsburg Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joy Story Roark; his son, Chris Roark of Louisville; his brother, Kenneth Roark of Maxey Flat; his sister, Darlene Moore of Maxey Flat; his sister, Marcella Parker and husband, Larry of Morehead; his in-laws, Meredith (Ann) Story, Anthony (Micki) Story, Georgia Roark, and Paula (Johnny) Mineer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents Fred and Juanita, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Roark; and his brothers, Freddy Roark, Jr., and Michael Roark.
Service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, at Flemingsburg Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Clint Stricklen and Rev. Bud Hance officiating.
Daniel will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery beside his daughter Natalie.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Monday, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with visitation at the church from 10-11 a.m., on Tuesday.
