Janice Burke Botkin, 63, of Russellville, OH, formerly of Flemingsburg, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe.
Janice was born on December 4, 1954, in Adams County, OH, to James Burke and the late Lillian Storer Burke.
Janice was a retired social worker and teacher’s aide; she had worked at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home and Fleming County Schools and was of the Christian Faith.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Botkin; her mother; and her two sons, SSGT John Cooper and Terry Cooper.
Survivors include her daughters, Sherri Springate and husband James, and Susan Cooper West; her step-children, James Roger Botkin Jr., Robert McMillen, Bonita Botkin and Sheri Helterbrand and husband Mark; her grandchildren, Madeline Springate, McKenzie Armstrong, Taylor West, Stone Burke, Starr Burke, Stacy McMillen and Gabriel Botkin; and her great grandson, Dustin. Janice is also survived by her siblings, John Burke and wife Connie, Mike Burke and wife Denise, Jeff Burke and wife Cynthia, Russ Burke and wife Robin, Leah Klump and husband Colin, Teresa Gates and husband John; her buddies, Jada, Mikkayle and Marquis; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be 12 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Engle officiating.
Janice will be laid to rest beside her husband in Fleming County Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m., until the time of service.
