Jeffrey Lane “Jeff” Rigdon, 58, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at his residence.
Born on July 25, 1959, in Maysville, KY, he was the son of Mary Rigdon and the late Eugene Earl Rigdon.
Jeff was a farmer and a landscaper. He loved to tinker around with stuff, listen to music and watch Washington Redskins’ football. He loved his family and grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 32 ½ years, Tammy Boling Rigdon; his son, Jeffrey Scott Rigdon and wife Aleshia; his daughter, Alicia Rigdon; his grandchildren, R.J. Rose, Lylian Rigdon, Jazmyne Rose, Jeffrey Hunter Rigdon and Cody Rigdon. He is also survived by his siblings, Roger Rigdon, Eugene Earl Rigdon II and wife Alice, Jerry Rigdon, Danny Rigdon and wife Wesia, Michael Rigdon and wife Julie, Amanda Shannon and husband Brian, and Cindy Wright; his sister-in-law, Brenda Rigdon; his brother-in-law, Eddie Rollins; and his father-in-law, Kenny Boling and wife Carolyn; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends. In addition, he is survived by special family friends, Julie and Jonathan Gay and their four children whom Jeff considered as his grandkids.
In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his siblings, Matthew Rigdon, Rozanna Davenport and Carol Rollins; and his mother-in-law, Esther Alberta Boling.
A Celebration Gathering of Jeff’s life will be held from 3-5 p.m., Saturday, July 21st at New Creation Praise and Worship, 1431 Helena Road, Flemingsburg.
