John C. Holland, 68, of Flemingsburg, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018, at UK Medical Center.
Born in Lewis County on July 7, 1950, he was a son of the late Cecil and Oleta Holland.
John worked for Schwartz Mowing, worked as a truck driver as well as a dairy farmer. He was a member of Family Worship Center Church.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Alberta Hickerson Holland; his sons, Chris Holland and wife Ashonda , Jeff Mattox and wife Tonya; his grandchildren, Kaylee Holland, Carter Doyle, Kyla Doyle, Chloe Holland, Colton Holland, Teri Mattox and Taylor Mattox; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Randy Holland; his sister, Ruby Saunders; and his brother-in-law, James Saunders.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 21st, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Hickerson, Bro. David Hickerson, and Bro. Kevin Hickerson officiating.
John will be laid to rest in Wallingford Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Jeff Mattox, Chris Holland, Carter Doyle, Kevin Hickerson, David Hickerson and Travis Hickerson.
Visitation will be 11 a. m. until the hour of service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
