Leonard “Squeaky” Hamilton, 76, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
Born on July 22, 1942 in Fleming County, he was the son of the late Lander and Lillie Mae Dailey Hamilton.
Squeaky worked in construction for 45 years as a heavy equipment operator having worked for Shannon & Hurd for 22 years, ASL for 13 years and Bruner’s for 5 years. He was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Bailey Hamilton; his daughter Patti Hamilton Little and husband Mike; his grandchildren, Ali Parker and Josh, Joe Parker; his brother, Richard Hamilton and wife Mary Helen; his sister, Cora Shields and husband Johnny; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several siblings.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, October 20, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Eubanks officiating.
Squeaky will be laid to rest in Hillsboro Cemetery. Pallbearers include Marty Hamilton, Jim Bradley, C. J. Vise, Tony Carpenter, Josh Nasci, Hookie Ishmael, Tyler Carpenter and Donnie Ishmael.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
