Marion Scott Arrasmith, 88, of Mason County, died peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2019, at his home with family by his side.
Mr. Arrasmith was born in Fleming County on November 30, 1930, a son of the late John and Velma Arrasmith.
In 1995 he retired from Emerson Electric; prior to that he worked at January and Wood. He was a member of Antioch Church of Christ for 17 years. For 45 years he was a member of Maysville Church of Christ where he served as an Adult Sunday School teacher and as an Elder. In 1985 he was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel under Governor Martha Layne Collins.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Evelyn Nash Arrasmith with whom he would have celebrated a 70th wedding anniversary on November 25, 2019. He is also survived by his six children, Larry Arrasmith, Don (Kathy) Arrasmith, Vicki (Jim) Brockman, Lois (Bill) Vermillion, Janet (Lee) Sanders, and Donna Gayle (Steve) Johnson; his 14 grandchildren; his 18 great grandchildren; and his sister, Jean Buchanan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Osborn Arrasmith, Junior Arrasmith, and Jackie Arrasmith; and his grandsons, John Scott Arrasmith and Andrew Arrasmith.
Services for Mr. Arrasmith are private. Boone-Nickell Funeral Home is caring for the arrangements.
