Marty Lee Hamilton, 54, of Ewing, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at the Hospice of Hope in Maysville.
Born in Fleming County on April 11, 1965, he was the son of Margaret Frances Mack Hamilton and the late Leland “Buck” Hamilton.
For 27 years Marty worked for ASL Excavating as a heavy equipment operator. He was the owner and operator of Hamilton Excavating. He was a member of the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Robin Jolly Hamilton; his son, Casey Lee Hamilton; his daughter, Shannon Marie & Ty Littleton; and his grandson, Dawson Lee Littleton. He is also survived by his siblings, Donna & Elbert Hickerson, Gary & Carolyn Hamilton, Tony Hamilton, Marzetta Hamilton & Donald Earlywine, and Eugene & Anita Masters; along with several nieces and nephews; a host of friends; and extended family members. He will be greatly missed by his beloved dogs, Jackson and Bentley.
In addition to his father Buck, Marty was preceded in death by his sister, Ruby Hamilton.
Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 14, at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church with Pastor Greg Grimes officiating.
Marty will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Eugene Masters, Chucky Ramey, Elbert Hickerson, David Tackett, Dave Nagel, Brian Watson, Mikey Watson, Johnny Ruark, Bobby Hamilton, and Curt Fawns. Honorary pallbearers include Randy Purcell, Dylan Watson, Derrick Watson, Brad Grier, Donald Earlywine, Chris “Twitch” Bradford, Willie Jerrels, Arnie Fields Cody Ruark, and Mike Watson.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m., Saturday at the church located at 1187 Mt. Tabor Road, Ewing, Kentucky 41039.
In place of flowers, memorials donations are suggested to Hospice of Hope (909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056) and/ or Cancer Care Club (P O Box 189, Flemingsburg KY 41041).
