Rev. Gerald Graham Helphenstine, 67, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019, at his residence in Dayton, Ohio.
He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on April 14, 1952, to the late Charles and Irene Roberts Helphenstine.
For over 40 years Gerald worked for five church ministries. He attended God's Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was a member and minster of the Wesleyan Holiness Association of Churches.
He is survived by his wife, Marietta Tomblin Helphenstine; his children, Aaron Helphenstine (Lisa), Gera Latham (Barry), Joshua Helphenstine (Brooke); his grandchildren, Allyssa Winters (Christian), Megan Helphenstine, Kelsey Helphenstine, Ethan Thurman, Amy Helphenstine, Dakota Helphenstine, Justtyn Parsley, Kailynn Parsley; his great-grandchild, Makynleigh Winters; his sister-in-law, Cathy Helphenstine; as well as a host of very special family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Allen Helphenstine, Ricky Scott Helphenstine, and Charlene Garr Helphenstine.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, September 5, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Roop officiating.
Gerald will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 4, at the funeral home.
