Stacy Lee Steward, 51, of Flemingsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Fleming County Hospital.
Born in Fleming County on July 24, 1967, he was the son of the late Edward Steward and the late Eula Jones Steward.
Stacy had a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Morehead State University. He worked as a Social Service Clinician with the Commonwealth of Kentucky since October of 2000, had worked for Community Action, Eastern Kentucky University, Buffalo Trace and Comprehend. Quiet to some he was actually a practical joker who loved to laugh. He liked to cook, loved to travel, and enjoyed music. He especially loved his nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Nepton Baptist Church.
He is survived by his siblings, Rita Steward, Jeanette Jones, Jennifer Steward, Troy (Krista) Steward; his companion, Christopher Todd Crump; his aunts, Joyce Grandison and Peggy Grandison; along with his several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Stacy was preceded in death by his brothers, Jeffrey, Rodney, and Eddie Steward; and his great aunt, Elizabeth Tibbs.
Service will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, at Flemingsburg Baptist Church with Rev. James Custard officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Monday night at the church located at 1856 Elizaville Road, Flemingsburg.
Stacy will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery. A meal will follow at the Nepton Baptist Church.
