Allie Florence Hall Whitton McCray, 95, Flemingsburg, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, at the home of her daughter.

Born in Plummers Landing on September 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Woodson Taulbee Hall and Ida Inas Ratliff Hall.

She attended Goddard School and was a 1948 graduate of Fleming County High School.  After high school graduation she and her mother attended beauty school in Louisville and then spent her career as a cosmetologist.  They owned and operated Modern Beauty Shop in Flemingsburg until her retirement.

She was a member of the Flemingsburg Baptist Church, the Rebekah Lodge and a 50+ year member of Eastern Star.

Allie is survived by her two daughters, Margaret Woodine (Robert) McGinnis of Flemingsburg, Ky. and Charlene Paige Whitton of  Inverness, Fla.; her son, Franklin D. "Skip" McCray of Inverness, Fla.;  her two grandchildren, Mara Allison (Travis) Earlywine of Flemingsburg, Ky. and Taulbee Wayne (Melissa) McGinnis of Buellton, Calif.;  her four great-grandchildren, Carys Hall Earlywine and Benjamin Reed Earlywine both of Flemingsburg, Ky., Giszelle R. Hrehor of Long Beach,  Calif., and Mac Taulbee McGinnis of Buellton, Calif.; along with three close cousins, Betty Bowen, Peggy Stinson and Nancy Thornsberry.

In addition to her mother and father, Allie was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Thomas Whitton and Frank McCray.

The funeral service will begin at 12 noon, Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Fritz and Bro. Marty Voiers officiating.

Allie will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Plumville.

Visitation will be 10 a.m., until the hour of service at 12 noon, Saturday, at Boone-Nickell, located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
