Obituary

Anthony "Pete" Gallagher of the Poplar Grove community ended his journey through life on this earth on May 10, 2011 at the Robertson Health Care Center, after a long struggle with a failing heart.

Mr. Gallagher possessed a strong connection with the land and nature. He loved following his passions of homesteading, farming, fishing, hogging, hunting and bartering and trading. His strong values and principles guided his life and he upheld the ideals he believed in and lived life simply. He held firm to the belief that a good life was achieved through family and friends, and self sufficing. In this endeavor he was successful and his absence will be grieved by many who shared his journey and path, and now must continue on without him.
