Arnold L. Hilander, 73, of Foxport, KY passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe.

Arnold was born October 20, 1943, in Lewis County, to the late John William and Elizabeth Botkin Hilander.

Arnold was first and foremost a loving father and grandfather. His family was his life. He retired from Rockwell International as an inspector, and was a farmer. He was a member of New Life Church of Christ, and formerly a dedicated member of Gateway Christian Church of Mt. Sterling. Arnold was a proud supporter of the Sugar Loaf Christian Camp, he was the former past president.

Survivors include his son, Patrick and wife Jennifer Hilander of Chicago, IL; his daughter, Missie Hilander of Fleming County; his grandchildren, Carter Patrick Hilander, Addison Grace Duff, Marie Morelos, Ragan Mason; his siblings, Roy Hylander, Robert (Bonnie) Hilander, Wanda Bowles, Joan (Harold) Rudd; his companion, Beulah Howell; and several nieces and nephews.

Arnold was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Linda Joyce Hilander; a son, Anthony Wayne "Tony" Hilander, his parents and siblings, Gail Hilander.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday April 26, 2017 at New Life Church of Christ with Brother Darren Fizer and Brother Dan Bentley officiating. Burial will follow In Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, KY. Visitation will be 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church and after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
