Arthur Earl McKee, 88, of Flemingsburg, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital Respiratory Care Center.  He was the widower of Ella Nora Boyd McKee.

Born in Fleming County on October 18, 1936, his father was the late Earl McKee and his mother was the late Nanny Morgan McKee.

Arthur worked at Wald Manufacturing for 42 years and Licking Valley C.A.P. for 25 years.  He loved Kentucky basketball.

He is survived by six of his children, Denise (Tyrone) Sturdivant of Lexington, Terry (Edna) McKee, Aaron (Patricia) McKee, Tim McKee, Van McKee (special friend Stephanie), and Kirk (Terri Lynn) McKee,  all of Flemingsburg.  He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, Toshia (Jay Fred) McKee, Aaron Jr. (Amia) McKee, Terry Jr. (Michelle) McKee, Bradley (Anna) McKee, Vanielle McKee, Vickie (Gary) Shannon, Lindsey McKee, Bryson (Brittany) McKee, Trey Sturdivant, Larkin McKee, Sarah Jackson; his two step grandchildren, Angela Potts Moore and Michael Potts; and his 12 great grandchildren.  In addition, he is survived by his two sisters, Ollie Rogers and Clarissa McKee, both of Columbus, Ohio; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to Nora, his wife of 58 years who passed in 2013, his mother Nanny, and his father Earl, Arthur was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" McKee who passed in 2016; his sister, Rita Smoot; his brother, Sam McKee; and his nephew, Darrel McKee.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at New Creation Praise and Worship Center with Rev. Randy Taylor officiating.

Arthur will be laid to rest in rest in Fleming County Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Aaron Jr. McKee, Terry Jr. McKee, Bradley McKee, Bryson McKee, Trey Sturdivant, Larkin McKee, Larry Hartley, and James Frederick Sparks.  Honorary pallbearers include Toshia McKee, Vanielle McKee, Vickie Shannon, Lindsey McKee, and Sarah Jackson.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at New Creation located at 1431 Helena Road, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
