Ashley Nicole Johnson, 40, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Fleming County Hospital.

Born in Huntington, West Virginia on December 19, 1984, Ashley was the daughter of the late Gary Johnson and the late Margaret Royse Johnson.

Ashley received a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in Human Resources from Southern New Hampshire University.  She loved to read, was a history buff, and followed current events.  She was opinionated and outspoken.

Ashley is survived by her sister, Heather Hitch; her brother-in-law, Damon Hitch; her two nieces, Ava Grace Hitch and Emily Faith Hitch; along with many extended family members and friends.

In addition her mom Margaret and her dad Gary, Ashley was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Glyda Pearl Johnson, and her maternal grandparents, Roy and Joyce Royce.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2025, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Robbie Vice officiating.

Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Monday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
