Obituary
Avery Elwood Brooks, 58, of Mount Sterling Road, Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, November 15, at the Fleming County Hospital.
Mr. Brooks was a land fill operator for many years until it closed.
He was born in Frenchburg, KY, February 22, 1957 to Ogelene Byrd Brooks of Flemingsburg and the late Avery Elwood Brooks
He is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Sue (Raymond) Pierce of Indianapolis, Ind., and Phyllis Turner of Carlisle; four brothers, Mark (Linda) Brooks of Indianapolis, Roy Brooks of Tollesboro, Kenny (Brenda) Brooks of Ewing, Donnie Brooks, of Flemingsburg.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Troy Brooks.
A memorial service will be held from 4 -6 PM Thursday at the First Church of God (Mt. Sterling Rd) in Flemingsburg.
