Barbara James Compton Helterbrand, 84, passed away Wednesday February 2, 2011 at Life Care Center in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born March 10, 1926 in Plummers Landing, Kentucky to the late Lloyd and Mable Evans Compton. She was the widow of Clyde Bruce Helterbrand who passed away in April 2001. She was a retired Postmaster with the US Postal Service. She was a member of the Muses Mills Christian Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son David Helterbrand in 1992.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Sunday February 6, 2011 at Muses Mills Christian Holiness Church. Visitation will be Saturday 6 - 9 PM at Boone - Nickell Funeral and an hour prior to service at church. Burial will follow in Muses Mills Cemetery
