Barbara J Williams, 86, of Fleming County KY, born in Lynn IN, on October 23, 1930, left this world for her place in Heaven on Thursday evening, February 9, 2017, surrounded by her family.

She leaves behind four children: Rhonda Williams (Jim) of Cynthiana, Larry Williams (Kathy) of Shelbyville, Bobby Williams (Lis) of Louisville, and Sheila Rios of Tucson AZ; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as 4 siblings.

Barbara spent her days on this earth helping raise her siblings on her parent's dairy farm in Lynn IN and then raising five of her own children on a tobacco farm on Big Run in Fleming County where she also ran a mini-nursing home until her retirement around 2000. Barbara was preceded in death in 1980 by her husband of 28 years, Gale Williams, known to friends and family as Bado; her oldest son, Monty Williams in 1994, her parents Joseph and Opha Roark, as well as 12 siblings.

Funeral service will be at 11am Monday February 13, 2017 at Boone – Nickell Funeral Home. A procession will follow to Goddard Cemetery as her final resting place by way of the family home and church on Big Run. All are welcome to share in this special goodbye of an extraordinary lady until we meet again in Heaven.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 12, from 2-6pm at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.
