Barry Gene Reed, 70, of Flemingsburg, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Covington, Ky. on January 9, 1952, he was a son of the late Homer Reed and the late Elizabeth Chenault Reed.

Barry was a construction worker who also was an avid Lionel train collector.  Before living in Flemingsburg, Barry lived in Frenchburg.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Laura Douglas Reed; his two children, Bradley Reed and wife Nicole,  Holly Hedges and husband Jeremy; his two grandchildren, Xander and Lucien Reed.  He is also survived by two of his siblings, Leslie Reed and wife Nora, Cheryl Niles and husband Billy; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Reed.

Private services for Barry and his family are being cared for by Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.
