Bernice Rosetta Wells Leet Grant, of Lexington, a well-known retired beautician of Ewing, KY, passed away Thursday May 28, 2015 at Northpoint/Lexington Healthcare Center in Lexington due to complications from pneumonia.

Bernice was born in Fleming County on March 4, 1920, daughter of the late Oscar and Veda Williams Wells.

Bernice is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Ann Leet (Tom) Dinsmore of Lexington, KY; a brother, Leslie Wells of Missouri and a sister, Edith Wells Wilson of Flemingsburg; 2 daughter-in-law Sonia Kay Leet of Flemingsburg and Carolyn Leet Buckler of Carlisle, KY. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Bernice was preceded in death by her first husband of 49 years, Omar (Red) Leet; her second husband of 18 years, Porter Grant; sons, Robert Joseph Leet and Omar Ray Leet. A great grandchild, Anthony Skyler Leet, died at birth. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Ella Simons, Ruby Boggess, Lucille Carpenter, Christine Dotson, Daulene McCord, Ruth Whitton, Grace Bentley, Cora Mae Wills; and a brother, James Wells.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday May 31, 2015 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Gaylord Gillispie officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery (Mt. Tabor Road, Ewing, KY). Visitation will be 12 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
