Bernice Littleton Helphinstine, 94, of Mansfield, Ohio, formerly of Flemingsburg, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Arbors of Mifflin in Mansfield.

Bernice was born in Rowan County on November 15, 1925, to the late Emmitt and Eva Egan Littleton.

In addition to her parents Emmitt and Eva, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil L. Helphinstine; and her sister, Josephine Hinton.

Bernice is survived by her son, Larry Helphinstine and wife Kathy of Mims, Florida; her son, Greg Helphinstine and wife Kim of Columbus, Georgia; and her daughter, Karla Lyons and husband Edward of  Lady Lake, Florida.   She is also survived by her siblings, George Littleton and wife Wanda, Ronnie Littleton and wife Joyce, and Wanda Muse and husband Tommy all of Fleming County.  Bernice was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 16 great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 10, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Jackie Hinton officiating.

Bernice will be laid to rest beside her husband in Sunset Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
