Obituary

Bertha Francis “Cricket” Kissick, 95, of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Maysville Nursing and Rehab. She was the widow of H.E. Kissick.

Born in Fleming County on September 25, 1930, her father was the late Arthur Talley and her mother was the late Ida Talley.

She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Charles of Borromeo Catholic Church.

She is survived by her three sons, Allen Darryl Doyle, Gary Colin Doyle,  and Christopher Kissick; her grandson, Brandon Kissick;  her niece, Mary Doyle; along with many extended family members and friends.

In addition to her husband H.E., her father Arthur,  her mother Ida, Cricket was preceded in death by her four siblings, Arthur Robert Talley, James William Talley, Joe Faulkner,  and Mary Harney.

Service of Christian Burial will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Fr. Phil DeVous as celebrant.

Cricket will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 12 noon until the hour of service at 1 p.m. at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
