Betty Ruth Riley Clegg, 75, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at her residence.
Betty was born February 26, 1940, in Lewis County, to the late Kermit C. and Verna Wilson Riley.
Betty worked in the deli for Ron's IGA in Tollesboro as well as Vanceburg and Ken's in Flemingsburg. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to the many people who knew her. She attended Petersville Church of God.
Survivors include her daughters, Alice (Jeff) Stamm of Vanceburg, Okea (Tim) Taylor of Flemingsburg, Tammie (Tim) Evans of Wallingford, and Tara (Ralph) Smith of Petersville; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Riley, Norman Riley, and Rick Riley; sisters, Virgie Beckett, Carol Fugett, Thelma Doyle, Peggy Hester, Judy Kaye Howell, and Faye Elliot; 2 aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Walter Clegg; and two sisters, Patty Riley and Louella Thompson.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Petersville Church of God with Bro. Milt Stanfield officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home and 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Boone-Nickell Funeral Home is caring for the arrangements.
