Betty E. Hester Spencer, 69, of Wallingford, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at St. Joseph Continued Care Hospital.

Born in Fleming County on September 12, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Buford Hester and the late Nora Stidham Hester.

Betty worked and retired from Jockey International in Carlisle, Kentucky.

She is survived by her two sons, Chris (Angie) Spencer and Brian Spencer; her three granddaughters, Michelle Hunt, Abigail (Tyler) Potter, and Hannah Spencer; and her four great grandsons; Oliver, Henry, Jude, and Oakland.   She is also survived by four of her sisters, Wanda James, Erma Christine McGlone, Lucille (Ray) Hitch and Connie Heil; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to her mother Nora and her father Buford, Betty was preceded in death by three of her siblings, Kenneth Wayne Hester, Gary Hester, and Charlene Spencer.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Hamm and Bro. Tom Redmon officiating.

Betty will be laid to rest in Wallingford Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Kevin McGlone, Ashley McGlone, Gerald James, Jared Hitch, Damon Hitch, and Trenton Barker.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
