Beulah Doyle Armstrong, 90, of Flemingsburg, KY died unexpectedly Thursday January 8, 2015 at Fleming County Hospital.
She was born May 16, 1924, the Daughter of the late Henry Dewey and Mattie Ovel Hickerson Doyle, the mother of mother of Bonnie (Jerry) Rosser, Douglas Newell (Dana) Armstrong Jr. and Patty (Jimmy) Emmons; Grandmother of Michael (Kay) Rosser, Angie (David) Cavanaugh, Tony (Cindy) Armstong, Shay Emmons and Michelle (Jason) Richardson; great grandchildren Trey Rosser, Sydney (Cory) Moore, Alex Armstrong, Kassidy Yon, Cameron Emmons, Kenton Wheeler, Avery Richardson, Emory Richardson and Cade Richardson; great great grandchild Myles Yon. Other survivors include two sisters and two brothers, Delores (James) Dugan, Beulene (Vanis) Carver, George (Millie) Doyle, and Dr. Marion Garr (Susan) Doyle. She is also survived by a great number of nieces and nephews.
Beulah was retired from Lerman's Department Store in Flemingsburg where she had been a clerk for many years. She attended Flemingsburg United Methodist Church and was a longtime member of Wallingford United Methodist Church.
Beulah was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Newell Armstrong Sr.; sister Jewel McGill Earlywine; and five brothers, Elmer Russell Doyle, Raymond Doyle, Melvin Doyle, Adrian Doyle and Barbour Doyle.
The funeral service will be held at the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church on Tuesday, January 13th, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ben Cain and Rev. Susan Elkow. Burial will follow in Fleming County Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church on Monday from 4-7 p.m. Boone - Nickell Funeral Home is caring for all arrangements for Mrs. Armstrong.
