Billie Gene Thomas, 80, of Pleasant Valley, passed away Friday evening January 10, 2014 at Fleming County Hospital after an extended illness.

Billie Gene was born March 9, 1933 in Lewis County to the late John William and Myrtle Fearin Thomas.

Billie Gene was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifelong resident of Pleasant Valley only living in two different homes throughout his life. He was a lifelong farmer and hauled livestock for local farmers. He was a lifelong member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Lillian Corns Thomas; son Gary Thomas of Lexington, KY; daughter Brenda (George) O'Cull of Mason County, KY; granddaughter Sierra O'Cull.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Forrest Lee Thomas.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Wednesday January 15, 2014 at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ with Bro. Hillary Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 9 PM Tuesday at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home and after 10 AM at the church on Wednesday.
