Robert M. "Bobby" Campbell, 90, of Wallingford, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, at Fleming County Hospital. He was the widower of Mary Ann Huflage Campbell who passed in 2014.
Born in Fleming County on August 20, 1934, his father was the late G. M. Campbell and his mother was the late Grace Skaggs Campbell.
Bobby was a retired mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service. A lifelong farmer he been a floor manager at the Kentucky King Tobacco Warehouse. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), had served on the Farm Bureau Board of Directors, belonged to the Kentucky Cattlemen's Association, belonged to the Livestock Improvement Association, and was a local Fleming County 4-H Leader. He was a member of the Fleming County Republican Party. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Flemingsburg Christian Church and Shiloh Methodist Church.
Bobby is survived by his son, William Campbell and wife Sarah; his daughter, Beth Ann Coyle and husband Doug; his five grandsons, Campbell Coyle, Corbin Coyle, Spencer Campbell, Clark Coyle, and Lucas Campbell. He is also survived by his two sisters, Jane Gooding and Marjorie Grannis; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home, with Bro. Randy Fritz officiating.
Bobby will be laid to rest in rest in Sunset Memorial Park.
W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834 will be performing military rites.
Pallbearers include Jimmy Hall and Bobby's five grandsons, Campbell, Corbin, Spencer, Clark, and Lucas. Honorary pallbearers include George Watson, Dave Watson, and Ronnie Littleton.
Visitation will be from 12 noon, until the hour of service at 2 p.m., Sunday, at Boone-Nickell, located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
In place of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Bobby to the Fleming County 4-H (P O Box 192, Flemingsburg KY 41041).
