Robert Allen “Bobby” Hamm, 77, of Wallingford, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at UK Medical Center.
Born in Flemingsburg on February 21, 1949, he was a son of the late Edward Hamm and the late Rosa Frances Fite Hamm.
Bobby had worked for 25 plus years as an auto mechanic and truck driver for County Concrete. He was a member of the Plummers Landing Christian Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy A. Bowles Hamm; his three children, Robin Sue Hamm, Roanna Coffey, and Wayne Coffey; his five grandchildren, Erica (Evan) McKissack, Heather Staggs, Amanda (Jordan) Skaggs, Corey (Cassie) Hamm, and Jordan Hamm; and his eight great grandchildren, Gabriel Staggs, Caleb Skaggs, Emma Skaggs, Anna Skaggs, Arya McKissack, Riley McKissack, Leah Staggs, and Kaylin Staggs. He is also survived by four of his sisters, Mabel Pugh, Lynda Gilvin, Martha Truesdell, and Irene Miller; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to his mother Rosa Frances and his father Edward, Bobby was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lee Hamm; along with four of his siblings, Wilber Kenneth Hamm, Louise Wright, Roselyn Bullman, and Kathleen Cockrell.
The funeral service will begin at 12 noon, Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home, with Rev. Donnie Reed officiating.
Bobby will be laid to rest in Wallingford Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers include Jordan Skaggs, Tommy Staggs, Rusty Hollar, Heather Staggs, Caleb Skaggs, and Corey Hamm.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 12 noon, Tuesday, at Boone-Nickell, located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
