Brittany Mariah Alley, 19, of Maysville, is now happy and peaceful in the arms of Jesus as of Monday, March 20, 2017.

Born on September 17, 1997, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, she is the daughter of Lester and Consuela Elsey Alley.

Brittany was a sophomore at Transylvania University as a 4.0 Honors student. Her studies included French, Arabic and International Affairs. She was a member of the swim team at Transylvania, as well as Mason County High School and the Y.M.C.A. Sting Rays. She was loved by so many people as she brought light and laughter to everyone she met. She was a member of the Maysville Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her parents; her brother, Alexander Luke Alley; her paternal grandmother, Sarah Alley; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Arvin and Violet Elsey; and her paternal grandfather, Larry Alley.

Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017, at Maysville Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Lonnie Blosser and Pastor Christopher Patton officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m., Friday, at the church.
