Carol Ann Luman Emmons, 81, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.

Born in Morehead on August 5, 1944, Carol was the daughter of the late Howard Luman and the late Hazel Roberts Luman.

Carol had worked as a CNA at Hayswood Home Health and St. Claire Home Health.  She was a member of the Family Worship Center.

She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Charles Emmons; her four children, Jody (wife Michele) Emmons, Shawna (husband Mark) Florence, Cheryl Hunt, and Chuckie (wife Brooke) Emmons; her ten grandchildren, Jessica, Jeremy, Dustin, Chris, Shawn, Tiffany, McKayla (Ben), Brayden, Jayden, and Lauren; and her 15 great grandchildren, Jase, Ella, Shyann, Oliver, Tanner, Tayln, Casion, Jasmine, Julia, Jordan, Braylon, Kyler, Sayma, Isaac, and Lucas; along with many extended family members and friends.

In addition to her mother Hazel and her father Howard, Carol was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Gregory; and her three siblings, Stanley Luman, Frances Cox, and Jean Reeves.

The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. David Hickerson and Bro. Kevin Hickerson officiating.

Carol will be laid to rest in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Dustin Hunt, Jordan Harn, Brayden Emmons, Ben Bush, Mark Florence, Jayden Emmons, and Jeremy Overbey.

Visitation will be 10 a.m., until the hour of service at 2 p.m., Sunday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
