Carol Sue Hay Osborne, 60, of Tollesboro, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, at Fleming County Hospital. She was the widow of Dave Osborne.
Born in Maysville on September 20, 1961, she was the daughter of Opal Ruth Marshall Hay and the late Billie L. Hay.
Carol was a factory worker for U. S. Shoe, Walds, the Bow Factory, Techno Trim, and Jockey. She also worked in the jewelry department for J. C. Penney and Wal-Mart. She worked at Freddy's Restaurant and Tollesboro BP gas station and as a babysitter.
She is survived by her stepson, Jamie (Angel) Osborne; her step-grandson, Braxten Osborne; her mother Opal; two of her siblings, Joyce Ann (Gus) Pollitt and David Lee (Bettina) Hay; her nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Jon) Clark, Daniel (Adrienne) Pollitt, Charlie Hay, Elijah Hay, Delilah Hay, and Trayton Henderson; a great niece, Alexa; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her husband Dave and her father Billie, she was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Wayne Hay.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. David Hickerson and Bro. Tom Marshall officiating.
Carol will be laid to rest in Hay Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Daniel Pollitt, Charlie Hay, Trayton Henderson, Sam Blevins, Tommy Marshall, Jr., and Braxten Osborne. Honorary pallbearers include Russell Ruggles, Mike Hill, and Jason Morgan.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Tuesday, at Boone-Nickell.
