Obituary

Cassalou Cropper Crain, 58, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday evening May 15, 2011 at her sister's home after battling cancer.

She leaves behind her husband Robert W. Crain. They would have celebrated the 33rd wedding anniversary on May 21, 2011.

Since 1970 Cassalou has been a member of Helena Methodist Church.

Cassalou was born in Mason County to the late Stanley R Cropper and Margie B. Cropper.

Mrs. Crain Graduated from Morehead State University with a bachelors of education in 1975. She then taught at the Harrison County Technical School. Soon after she began a career of bookkeeping at the Fleming County Hospital and then along side her husband at Crain's Warehouse in Maysville.

Cassalou enjoyed spending her time traveling the world with her husband as well as spending time with her family and close friend of 40 years, Angela Cox.

She is also survived by her two sisters, Lynda (Gerald T.) Gray and Clara (Leonard) Eubanks, both of Fleming County; two stepchildren Mary Crain and Eugene Crain, both of Lexington, KY; and two special nieces Sara and Kathryn Gray both of Fleming County.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Sister Elizabeth Smith officiating. Internment will follow in Fleming County Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Hope in Maysville or Markey Cancer Foundation ( 800 Rose St. CC 160 Lexington KY 40536).
