Catherine (Cathy) Irene Lee, age 82 of Flemingsburg passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home with her beloved family and best friend by her side.

Catherine was born in Fleming County on February 4, 1942 to the late Rev. E. Harry & Zella Lee.

Cathy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a special aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Cathy worked as a CNA for many years at the Fleming County Hospital.  Cathy was known for singing to the patients in the ICU.  She was always full of life and started singing as a young child in church.  One of her favorite songs was "Looking for a City".  She was a member of the Flemingsburg Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her son, Rev. Fr. Christopher (Donisha) Lee.  Grandchildren, Kaylah Overbey, Katherine Lee Buffington, Christopher Lee II, Devilyn Bolyard and Cadence Lee.  Great grandchild, Wrenley Lee.  Sisters, Betty (Hobert) Griffith and Lois (Dwight) Johnson, including several nieces and nephews. Also, survived by a special niece, Karen (Danny) Carpenter, best friend, Judy Kissick and many friends including Ida Hinton and Patty Bryant.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Mary Johnson, Mabel Hall, Wilma Bryant, Bill Lee, Wayne Lee and twins, Donnie and Bonnie Lee.

Services for Catherine Lee will be held at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home at 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 2, 2024 officiated by Rev. Fr. Christopher Lee and Pastor Clint Stricklen with visitation from 11:00 am until the hour of the service.

Burial will be in the Wallingford Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Catherine's family.
