Cathie Ann Williams Campbell, 69, of Flemingsburg, Ky. passed away Saturday March 2, 2013 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe. Born May 2, 1943, she was the daughter of Jane Perkins Williams and the late G.H. "Scuttle" Williams, Jr. She devoted her life to caring for her children, Robin Renee Campbell of Lexington, Ky. and Robinson Allen Campbell of Louisville, Ky. who survive her and gave her a lifetime of love and joy.
Cathie attended the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church during her adult life and maintained a membership with The Ewing Baptist Church.
Cathie worked in the medical field for several years in the office of Drs. Robert Fidler and Sam Gehring. She later worked for the family business, Campbell Home Furnishings in Flemingsburg and also Farmers Home Administration. She went into marketing and sales for the local radio station, WFLE and eventually became an independent sales associate for Don Caster Clothing. She also owned and operated a clothing business for a short time in Maysville.
First and foremost in her life was her love for her family and friends and maintained strong family ties and life-long friendships throughout her life.
In addition to her two children, she is survived by her mother, Jane Perkins Williams of Flemingsburg, one brother, Gregg (Debbie) Williams of Indianapolis, Ind. , and three sisters, Connie (Larry) Vice of Crestwood, Ky., Patti Hall and Barb (Randy) Wilson both of Lexington, Ky. She is also survived by four nephews, Jeff (Kim) Vice, Todd (Jenny) Vice, Elliott and Luke Williams and a special great-nephew and niece Sawyer and Hannah Vice.
Cathie is also survived by her special Aunt, Amanda (Perkins) Yazell of Flemingsburg and Aunts and Uncles of Harrisburg, Pa, Jack and Mary Perkins and Ray and Joyce(Perkins) Kreider.
Cathie cared deeply for her aunts and uncles and many cousins. She is preceded in death by a loving brother-in-law, Johnny Hall.
Funeral service will be at 11 AM Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Flemingsburg with the Rev Randy Coy, Rev Norman Wasson, Rev Lynn Beach, and Father Nick Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Flemingsburg Cemetery with Rev Keith Abrams.
Visitation will be 5-9 PM Friday March 8 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg, Ky.
