Charles William “Chuck” Hopper, 45, of Maysville, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, at UK Medical Center in Lexington.
Born in Flemingsburg on December 4, 1980, his mother is Linda Marshall Hopper and his father was the late Everett Owen Hopper.
Chuck was a mechanic and a farmer. He loved spending time with family. He loved playing the guitar, the rodeo and bull riding.
In addition to his mother Linda, he is survived by his wife, Becky Jones Hopper; his two daughters, Madyson Hopper and Lyndsay Hopper (Clayton Bonnell); his stepson, Israel (Kierra) Shiveley; his four step grandchildren, Alakiah, Hope, Casimir, and Kyssac. He is also survived by his five brothers, Everett Owen (Cassandra) Hopper Jr., Matt (Megan) Hopper, Mark Hopper, Robert Hopper, and John (Melissa Richie) Hopper; three of his sisters, Tara Darlington, Becky Walker, and Elizabeth (Travis) Riley; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Lawson; his brother-in-law Clifford (Christina) Jones along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his father Everett, Chuck was preceded in death by his sister, Melissa Ann Hopper.
The funeral will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Marshall officiating.
Chuck will be laid to rest in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Israel Shiveley, Ashton Warner, Trevor Warner, Dalton Hopper, Andrew Hopper, Leo Mers, and Clifford “Cowboy” Jones.
Visitation will be 11a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Thursday, at the Boone-Nickell, located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
