Charles Jennings Hedger, 93, of Flemingsburg, passed away on Monday evening August 5, 2019 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.

Charles was born in Fleming County, on July 7, 1926 to the late Roy and Nettie Arnold Hedger.

Charles was a lifelong farmer and member of the Tilton United Methodist Church. He proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in US Army during World War II in 3rd Army Division.

Charles is survived by his children Roger Hedger of Flemingsburg, John Hedger and wife Madonna of Helena, and Mary Nell Stacy and husband Richie of West Liberty; grandson Derris Hedger and his wife Shelly; two great grandchildren Caden and Mason: sisters, Patsy Saunders and Ruth Benton and a host of extended friends and family.

Besides his parents Charles was preceded in death by his wife Edna Ann Hedger; daughter Linda Kay Hedger; brother, Roy Hedger Jr.

Funeral will be 1 p.m., Saturday, August 10, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Boling officiating.

Visitation will be 6 – 8 p. m., Friday at the funeral home.

Charles will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery on Monday, August 12.  Military rites will be performed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834.

Honorary Pallbearers include Jim White, Lee Ann and Willie Conn, Debbie White, Greg and Teresa Arrasmith, Jerry and Jackie Lowe, Clarence Gardner, Emily Benedict, Leonard Boling, Kenny Boling and all friends and neighbors in the Poplar Grove Community.
