Clarence Lee Compton, Jr., 52, of Mount Sterling, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at St. Joseph East Hospital, in Lexington, Ky.
Born in Fleming County on June 10, 1969, he was the son of Clarence Lee Compton, Sr., and the late Sherlene Berry Ellis.
Clarence proudly served his county in the United States Navy. He was a very loving husband and father.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Dawn Renee Ratcliff Compton; his 15 children, Jazzmine, Zhane, Tasha, Moses, Heather, Derek, Jonathon, Amber, Tabitha, Vanessa, Ashley, Crystal, Shawna, Jevaunte, and Deandre; and his 21 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Compton; his uncles, Raymond Compton, James Compton, Ernest Compton, Charles "Chick" (Toni) Berry; his aunt, Sabrena (Jerry) Holman; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2022, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home. with Rev. Terrell Clark officiating.
Clarence will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery.
Visitation will be noon until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
All in attendance are strongly encouraged to wear face masks and to observe social distancing.
