Claudia Marie Hunt, 72, of Ewing, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, at Saint Joseph Healthcare in Lexington.  She was the widow of Terry A. Hunt.

She was born in Mason County on October 31, 1947, to the late Claude and Blanche Brown Claypoole.

Claudia retired from U. S. Shoe in Flemingsburg after 25 years of service.  She also worked at Citi Finance in Maysville for 18 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, working in her flowers, sewing quilts and doing puzzle books.  She attended Crain Creek Christian Church.

Claudia is survived by her daughter, Donna Weaver and husband Bobby; her grandchildren, Brittany (Seth) Greenhill, Kaitlyn Weaver, and Rebekah Weaver; her great grandchildren, Liam, Liza and Rhett.  She is also survived by her brother, Millard Claypoole; her sister, Marilynn (Gayle) Colgan; her brother-in-law, Terry Earls; her nephew, Chad Colgan; special friends,  Jackie Story, Dale Hunt, Robyn Hunt, and Deb Hunt; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her husband Terry and her parents, Claudia was preceded in death by her sister, Edith Kay Earls.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, February 10, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Darry Cooper and Bro. David Weaver officiating.

Claudia will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery.

Pallbearers include D.W. Brown, Marty Brown, Chad Colgan, Coty Hunt, Jeff Hunt, and Dale Hunt.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
