Clifton E. Gulley, 87, of Flemingsburg, took his flight to heaven to be with his loving Lord and beloved son on Saturday August 2, 2014 at Fleming County Hospital.

Clifton was born in Muses Mills, KY on October 19, 1926 to the late Henry and Otie Hester Gulley.

Clifton was a self-employed farmer and worked as a carpenter in the area. He was a kind and gentle man who never met a stranger. He was an outdoors man who loved nature and God's beautiful creation.
He loved his Lord and faithfully attended Flemingsburg Church of the Nazarene.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 70 years Aline Hinton Gulley; his precious family Linda (Paul) Bailey of Martin, KY; grandchildren Pete (Shelia ) Bailey of Richmond, Paula Bailey of Prestonsburg, Adam (Teddie) Bailey of Corbin and Anna (Stephen) McCord of Georgetown; great grandchildren Cole Bailey, Ethan Bailey, Eli Bailey, Rose Bailey, Justin McCord and Amber McCord; siblings Kermit Gulley of Wallingford and Juanita Leadingham of Olive Hill; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Clifton was preceded in death by his son Steven Gulley; parents; siblings Mefford, Irvin, Cecil and Lester "Buck" Gulley.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Wednesday August 6, 2014 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Clint Strickland and Rev. Jack Hinton Officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Flemingsburg. Visitation will be 6 - 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Chris Maddox, Russell Holt, Robbie Logan, Cody Hazelrigg, Dewey Gulley and Jeff Gilkerson will serve as pallbearers.
