Clyde Whitt, 94, of Fleming County, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at UK Medical Center.

Clyde was born May 2, 1919 in Elliot County to the late Audie and Nola Howard Whitt.

Clyde was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a lifelong farmer and pipefitter, a 60 year member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 521.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 73 years Florence Oliver Whitt; daughter Junice Whitt Foster of Maysville; son Clyde (Shirley) Whitt Jr. of Lexington; grandson Brent D. Fields of Cincinnati; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jerome, Everett and Bernard; sisters Audrey, Erma and Geneva.

Funeral services will be 2PM Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Conley. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be 12 - 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
