Larry Dale Mitchell, 75, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Saint Joseph East in Lexington.

Born in Fleming County on January 10, 1947, he was the son of the late Howard R. "Buddy" Mitchell and the late Mary Reynolds Mitchell.

Dale worked for IBM/Lexmark for 45 years as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer.  He was a member of the Mount Carmel Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Mitchell; his two children, Jeff (Theresa) Mitchell of Winchester and Jennifer Mitchell of Lexington; his four grandchildren, Ainsley Estes, Eli Estes, Hunter Mitchell, and Daxson (Sadie) Bowman; and his great grandchild, Olivia Bowman.  He is also survived by two of his siblings, Jim (Beth) Mitchell of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Ramona Kay Doyle of Fleming County; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by two of his siblings, Terry Allen Mitchell and Jack Mitchell.

The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m., Monday,  September 26, 2022, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Singer,  Bro. Gary Mitchell, and Bro. Travis Roberts officiating.

Dale will be laid to rest in Lexington Cemetery at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 27.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. until the hour of service at 7 p.m., Monday, at Boone-Nickell.
