Delsie Davis "Dave" Stevens, 68, of Lexington, passed away Monday May 13, 2024.
Born in Muncie, Ind. on December 9, 1955, his father was the late Delsie D. Stevens and his mother was the late Betty L. Cooper Stevens.
Dave worked as an electrician for the city of Lexington for many years. He drove a school bus as well as a shuttle bus for the University of Kentucky. He had previously worked for Broderick's Forge in Muncie, Ind. and Ross Sporting Goods. He loved Morgan horses, photography and was a history buff with a lot of knowledge about the civil war era and colonial America.
Dave is survived by two of his siblings, Ronald L. (Marlenea) Stevens of New Castle, Ind. and Mark (Kelly) Stevens of Selma, Ind.; his brother-in-law, Brian Marshall of Muncie, Ind.; special friend, Yvette Preisler; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, an friends..
In addition to his mother Betty and his father Delsie, Dave was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Marshall.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.
Dave will be laid to rest in Goddard Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Friday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
