David Russell Beckett, 53, of Flemingsburg passed away Monday morning September 12, 2011 at St. Claire Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

David worked in auto body at Doyle's for 25 years, and the VFW for 2 years, and was self employed in auto body for many years. He attended Unity Baptist Church and as a child attended Wallingford Methodist Church.

He was born September 25, 1957 in Fleming County. He is preceded in death by his mother Naomi Gulley Beckett.

David is survived by his wife Lisa Roberts Beckett

Funeral services will be held at 7 PM Thursday September 15, 2011 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Kent Wilson officiating. Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Thursday evening. Burial will be at 11 AM Friday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
