David Steven "Steve" Leet, 49, of Flemingsburg, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016, at Central Baptist.

Born April 4, 1967, in Maysville, Steve was a son of Margaret Dugan Leet and the late William David Leet.

Steve worked for Brownings, Temple Inland, State Highway Department and up until his illness as a general contractor. He loved being a husband, father, and grandfather and loved spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Family Worship Center.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janet Hightower Leet; son, Justin David Leet; daughter, Casey Renee (Josh) Leet Florence; granddaughter, Jocelynn Renee Leet; brother, Mark (Natalie) Leet; sisters, Rhonda Leet and Shannon (Joe) Leet Crawford; sister-in-law, Bettye (Dan) Masters; brother-in-law, Charles Vernon (Elaine) Hightower; and mother-in-law, Kathleen Hightower.

He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Toni Caudill (Lucas) Holloway, Dalton, Olivia and Chloe Leet, Ashton McCoy, Marc (Danielle) Masters, John (Francie) Masters, Charles, Susan and Trudy Hightower, Sandra Valenti; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2016 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Hickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Fleming County Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Mike Earlywine, Danny Earlywine, Dalton Leet, Ashton McCoy, Mark Leet, John Masters, Marc Masters, Danny Masters, and Josh Florence. Honorary pallbearers include Rob Earlywine, Dean Wallingford, Mike Vise, and David Corbin.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
