Delsie D. Stevens, 79, of Flemingsburg, KY formerly of Muncie, IN, passed away peacefully Thursday June 12, 2014.

Delsie was born April 20, 1935 in Carter County, KY to the late Harrison and Ruth Lee Stevens.

Delsie moved to Muncie in 1954 till his retirement in 1989 and moved back to Flemingsburg. He worked for Marsh Warehouse for 33 years till he retired, he was a member of the Teamsters 135 of Muncie, IN. He moved back to Kentucky after his retirement to his beloved farm where he loved to work the land. Delsie also loved to travel with his wife Betty to Bluegrass Festivals around the area.

Delsie is survived by the love of his life of 60 years, his wife Betty L. Cooper Stevens who he wed in 1954. He also leaves behind his beloved children Dave Stevens of Lexington, KY, Ronald L. Stevens of New Castle, IN, Jackie (Brian) Marshall of Muncie, IN and Mark (Kelly) Stevens of Selma, IN; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his sister Wilma Christy of Russellville, OH.

Delsie was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Markie Stevens, 2 brothers Dexter and Arnold and 3 sisters. Dorothy, Joy and Jerri.

Funeral services will be at Noon Tuesday June 17, 2014 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. David Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow in Prince Cemetery of Maxey Flat in Fleming County. Visitation will be 5 - 9 PM Monday at the funeral home.
