Dewey Hall, Jr., 73, of Ewing, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.

Born in Floyd County on July 17, 1950, his mother was the late Ella Mae Bentley Hall and his father was the late Dewey Hall, Sr.

Dewey was a farmer and a coal miner who worked for German Stumbo Coal Company.

He is survived by six of his children, Ella (Dave) Mann, John (Leslie) Hall, Katheryn (Nicholas Ang) Humphries, Amanda (Jarrod) Dryden, David Slone, and Joy Coleman; six of his grandchildren, Zachary Smith, John Hall, Daniel Hall, Katie Hall, Jeromy (Deanna) Slone, Alyssia Slone, Joseph Slone, Bryn (Amanda) Reeves, Odin Ang, Conri Ang, Jordan White, Sarah (Kodi) Poling, Matthew (Madison) Mann, Kaitlyn (Zac Tryon) Bartley, David (Amanda) Mann, Karsynn (Jake Emerick) Mann and Brenner Mann; several other grandchildren; great grandchildren Sawyer Hall, Jemma Hamm, Aubrey Hall, Levi Hall, Anthony McFarland Karter Poling Bristol Poling, Jaxon Tryon, Maverick, Tryon, Davey Mann, Waylon Emrick Ella Emrick and Roan Mann; and several great-great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his two sisters, Clara and Edith.

In addition to his parents Dewey Sr. and Ella Mae, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Hall; and ten of his siblings.

A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of memorial, Friday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
