Donald Gene Muse, 72, of Ewing, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville. He was the widower of Kathy D. Pugh Muse.
Born in Tilton on November 2, 1952, his father was the late Harold Muse and his mother was the late Mary Sapp Muse.
Donald was a well known local carpenter.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Kelly D. McCloud and husband Colby; his granddaughter, Raelynn McCloud; his step granddaughter, Jordan McCloud; two of his siblings, Judy Kissick and Larry Muse; and a cousin he considered his brother, William "Billy" Sapp. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Patsy Pugh; his sister-in-law, Angie Vice and husband Jeff; his brother-in-law, Sam Pugh and wife Debbie; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In addition to his wife Kathy who passed in 2018; his mother Mary and his father Harold; Donald was preceded in death by his son, Donald Ashley Muse; his two brothers, Kenny Muse and Wendall Muse; his father-in-law, James S. Pugh; his maternal grandparents who raised him, Archie and Kelly Sapp; and his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Alta Muse.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Boling officiating.
Donald will be laid to rest beside Kathy in Elizaville Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Tommy Porter, Vern Pelfrey, Jeff Vice, Garey Jolley, Colby McCloud, and Danny Vice. Honorary pallbearers include William Sapp, Charlie Stacy, Carl Pelfry, and the DQ Breakfast Gang.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Thursday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
In place of flowers please consider a donation in memory of Donald to the Elizaville Cemetery.
