Donna Lee Hampton Rankin, 71, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her residence after a hard battle with cancer.

Born in Maysville, Ky. on December 11, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Russell Jay Hampton and the late Beulah Lee Barnett Hampton.

Donna dedicated 28 years working at the Fleming County Health Department.  She loved going to the gambling boat, spending time with her family, and spoiling her dog, Sadie.  She was of the Christian faith and her belief in the Lord brought her through many storms.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Marshall; her granddaughter, Taylor Marshall (Brady Madden); her great grandson, Baylor Koe Madden; her niece, Kim (Cheese) Conners; her nephew, Bill (Casey) Breeze; her niece, Sabra Watson; her nephew, Drew (Lacey) Watson; her great nieces, Tatum and Oaklee; her sister-in-law, Penny (Chuck) Holbrook; along with many extended family  members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her identical twin sister, Dawn Marie Breeze; and her mother-in-law, Ruth "Tommie" Rankin.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Sister Gail Skaggs officiating.

Donna will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Bill Breeze, Aaron Withrow, Robert "Cheese" Conners, Drew Watson, Chuck Holbrook, and Brady Madden.

Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Friday, at Boone-Nickell.
